 OUR DEVELOPMENT METHODOLOGY

 Feasibility


 To achieve a viable solution, SPIDER100 will evaluate the feasibility of the solution being sought. The factors that  are investigated are the costs involved in developing and implementing the solution compared to the benefits that  will be derived.


 User Requirement and Design


 Upon the establishment of the viability of the solution, the User Requirement Specification will be developed with  the client, to establish the specific functionality that is required from the software,within their parameters. The  parameters are a reference to aspects such as hardware profile, size of organisation, amount of information and  budget. This process will ensure that the optimum solution will be devised. The SPIDER100 team will then establish  a clear system design and development plan after a series of prototyping and simulation exercises. This procedure is  necessary so as to ascertain that the modules developed are viable, attain the functionality required and can be  effected to the entire solution, thus augmenting efficiency.
 

 Development and testing


 The development plan is a rigid guideline for the schedule to be met by the various teams. The completion of the  modules is co-ordinated carefully in order to meet the time schedules agreed with the client. Planning is also  important to maximise the utilisation of available development resources and minimise the costs to the client.    

 The development methodology adapted by SPIDER100 constitutes full documentation of procedures and  comprehensive testing at each stage. The documentation allows the team managers to monitor every aspect of the  development process. Comprehensive testing of each module is vital to determine the functionality and efficiency  are as per the envisaged design. This is an integral qualitative procedure of the entire process.

 Integrating the various modules that make up the full software solution is a function for the most skilled and  experienced managers. The process is facilitated by the detailed design, planning and procedures followed to  develop the individual modules. Once integrated, the software is subjected to exhaustive test procedures, which  are fully documented. The objective is to confirm that the integrity of the software is maintained, the required  functionality is provided and the efficiency is optimised.  Implementation and Maintenance


 The relationship with the client does not terminate with the signing of a User Acceptance document. SPIDER100  believes that the relationship with the client is paramount. The post development services are regarded as  important as any part of the process. Migration, implementation and training are some of the services available to  the client.

 The process of moving to a new system involves conversion of data, up-gradation of resources and training the  existing personnel. SPIDER100 can assist the client in devising a suitable migration strategy for achieving a  seamless and smooth transition.

 Implementation of the software at the client's site is an important function of the solution provider. The integrity,  functionality and efficiency of the software should be achieved on the client's environment and platform.  SPIDER100 will take full responsibility for this exercise.

 SPIDER100 will provide on-site training to the personnel determined by the client. The training will range from  simple operations to administration of the system. Maintenance of the system should be indigenous to the client's  organisation.
